Wigan Warriors Community Foundation are proud to announce details of a one-of-a-kind international camp in the october half-term.
Following on from our record-attending Summer Warrior Camp, our newly launched International Camp will take place at Robin Park Arena from 22-25 October (Tuesday to Friday) ahead of England’s Test match against Samoa at The Brick Community Stadium on Sunday 27 October.
In addition to a host of fun-fuelled camp activities, participants will experience a one-of-a-kind opportunity to rub shoulders with the England Men’s players who will prepare for the Test at Robin Park Arena.
Our Community Foundation led camps provide attendees with the opportunity to develop their core skills and understanding of the game in fun and engaging sessions catered for children [aged 5-16] of all ability and experience levels.
Each day of camp will be allocated an individual theme whilst participants in the age groups U12’s-U16’s will take part in development based activities led by our boy’s and girl’s development coaches.
Speaking on the success of camps, interim Head of Community Danny Fullerton said: “Our record-breaking Summer Warrior Camp has been a testament to the strong community spirit in Wigan and the dedication of our staff and volunteers.
“It’s incredibly rewarding to see so many young people engage with us and develop their skills while having fun and making new friendships. This achievement highlights the important role the Community Foundation has had in bringing people together through rugby league.
“We are already looking forward to welcoming more aspiring juniors to our October International Camp where children will rub shoulders with the England Men’s squad at Robin Park.”
