Summer Warrior Camp Diaries: Shiala
As a record number of children experience our Summer Warrior Camp at Robin Park, we asked participants for an insight into what life is like on camp.
Our first camp diary is written by 10-year-old, Shiala:
“It’s my first time attending one of these camps and I’ve already enjoyed it so much that I’m wanting to come again next time. I’ve only played rugby at break times in school where I’d batter through the boys. My Dad signed me up for this camp and already I’ve learnt so much more – I cannot wait to show the boys in school how much I’ve improved after the holidays.
“My favourite thing on camp has been the contact – I love showing everyone my girl power. My kicking has improved massively although I still need to get better at catching which is something I can focus on in the next camp.
“I’ve met so many new people, and the coaches are super nice which has made it even easier for me. Summer Warrior camp has been a great experience.”
