Wigan Warriors are delighted to report a record number of young people will attend our successful Summer Warriors multi-sport camp at Robin Park Arena.
Our highly popular Wigan Warriors Community Foundation-led activity camps cater for children aged 6-16 of all skill levels and ability. In the opening weeks on camp, participants have experienced wheelchair rugby league taster sessions, received classroom-based nutritional education, as well as all the rugby and multi-sport fun youโd expect outdoors in the summer sunshine.
With each day on camp dedicated to a theme – Community Club Challenge, Olympic, Whacky Wednesday and Cherry & White – children are encouraged to join in with the fun whilst making new friends.
Interim Head of Community, Danny Fullerton said: “Weโve been delighted to see so many young people attending the camps so far with every child leaving Robin Park each having had so much fun and with a big smile on their face.
“The Community Foundation staff have delivered different daily themes which has brought a new opportunity for participants of all ages and abilities.โ
Schools Partnerships Manager Scott Rafferty added: “We would like to thank Wigan Council for helping us to provide an opportunity for those who can access our Summer Warrior Camp through the Holiday Activity Fund.”
With two weeks of camps still remaining during the summer holidays, itโs not too lates to join in the fun. Book your place on one or all of our remaining days HERE. Look out for details of our next activity camps that will take place during October half-term.
