Wigan Warriors are inviting supporters to donate much needed items to The Brick before Friday’s Super League clash with Warrington Wolves at The Brick Community Stadium, K.O. 8.00pm.

For over 100 years, The Queens Hall mission in Wigan has been a centre of support in local communities providing all kinds of help and assistance in the fight against poverty.  Although there have been huge changes over the past century, the need for practical, caring, and effective help has never gone away.

This Friday, the Club will once again offer supporters the opportunity to help The Brick with its mission by donating urgently needed items of food and essentials.

Donations can be made at the East Stand Express Store in the Southeast corner of the stadium.:

Wigan Warriors Chairman Professor Chris Brookes said: “Wigan Warriors’ connection to the Community is of significant importance to us as a Club – a place where all are welcome and one which is inclusive – and we are proud that we play at The Brick Community Stadium and are committed to build on this community alliance.

“In the challenging times we face many families are struggling-the work of the Brick in providing a practical lifeline is well recognised.

“I would therefore like to invite our loyal fans – if you can – to help in this work by bringing donation items to  Friday night’s game against Warrington Wovles, with volunteers from The Brick being on hand to accept these at the East Stand Express Store, located in the Southeast corner of the stadium.

“Looking forward to welcoming you to tomorrow’s mouthwatering top of the table clash and thank you as always for your loyal support.”

Suitable items for donation are:- Tinned meat and vegetables, pasta, cordial,  tea/coffee, nappies, rice and toiletries.

The shop will be open for sales as usual-yet donation items for the Brick will be gratefully received.
