MATT PEET HAS PROVIDED A SHOCK DOCTOR INJURY UPDATE ahead of their R19 Betfred Super League game against Warrington Wolves at The Brick Community Stadium.

On Jai Field who sustained a hamstring injury in the Betfred Challenge Cup Final against Warrington Wolves, Peet said: “Jai will be back in the mix in the next couple of weeks. He’s looking good, he’s pretty much in full training now, although he won’t play this week.”

Updating on Bevan French, who also picked up a hamstring injury, he said: “Bevan’s timeframe hasn’t changed – he has been on the treadmill in the gym so he’s working through the stages of his rehab.”

Finally, on Mike Cooper, who failed a HIA against Leigh Leopards in Round 16: “Mike had two HIAs within a short period of time so he’s had to see a specialist which has meant a bit of an extended lay-off.

“He’s looking after himself and has another appointment with the specialist – we’ll continue to monitor him.”

Tom Forber sustained a syndesmosis injury on loan for Barrow Raiders. On the hooker, Peet updated: “Tom Forber is training hard, if anything it’s a case of holding him back but we’re probably looking at another two or three weeks before he becomes available.”
