Jack Farrimond has expressed his eagerness to learn and improve alongside teammates ahead of saturday’s trip to hull fc.
The teenager has started Wigan’s last three Betfred Super League matches against London Broncos, Leigh Leopards and St Helens, which included two tries and six goals in the Warriors’ victory over London in Round 15.
Speaking on his transition from the Warriors Academy to the First Team, Farrimond said: “It’s come around quickly. The step up has definitely been a lot more physical and faster, and even though these moments are very pleasing and proud, I’ve got to keep working as this is only the start.”
On playing against Betfred Super League opposition, Farrimond said: “The nerves are still there and they will be for quite a while to come. Every week you get a new team and a player stood in front of you who brings a different set of skills which is challenging. I expect things to get tougher.”
Farrimond added: “I’ve just been told to get up against whoever is in front of you and not to worry about anyone outside as someone else will deal with that. The most important thing is that I go out there and nail my job first.”
On his Warriors teammates, Farrimond added: “I’ve enjoyed every minute of the experience from the start of pre-season all the way to now. We’ve got a great group of lads who are all eager to learn and help each other get better.”
