Andy’s Man Club Wigan celebrate a year of support in the borough

Wigan Warriors and Wigan Athletic are proud to celebrate the anniversary of ANDY’S MAN CLUB’s wigan group located at the brick community stadium.

It has been a successful first year of offering mental health support, with thousands of Wiganers across the Borough being able to come together at the town’s biggest sporting venue.

Andy’s Man Club, a men’s suicide prevention charity, offers free-to-attend peer-to-peer support groups across the United Kingdom and online including a Wigan group located at The Brick Community Stadium.

The aim for group is to eliminate the stigma surrounding mental health and create a judgment-free, confidential space where men can be open about the storms in their lives.

Since hosting their first support session on Monday 17 July 2023, an incredible 2,825 men have walked through their doors. Due to the growth of the group, there are now 22 men who are trained facilitators – volunteers who lead the sessions – which has increased from five at the first session.

Sessions take place every Monday night from 7-9pm in the Family Zone at The Brick Community Stadium.
