Wigan Warriors Armed Forces Day
Friday sees the newly crowned Betfred Challenge Cup winners, Wigan Warriors, return to home soil in Round 15 of Betfred Super League.
It will be the Warriors’ first game at the stadium since it was renamed The Brick Community Stadium and promises to be a packed evening of entertainment as we celebrate our Armed Forces.
With Armed Forces Day on Saturday 29th June, the Warriors will take the chance to show support for the men and women who make up the Armed Forces community, from currently serving personnel to Service families, veterans and cadets.
Pre-Game at Robin Park Arena
Head over to Robin Park Arena before the game (8pm K.O.) where we will have a Military Vehicle Display, with opportunities to take photos and speak to military personnel.
The First Team will also walk through the Fan Village ahead of Friday night’s clash against London Broncos with #ALL4 trophies currently held by the Men’s team.
The players involved in the matchday squad will use the changing room facilities at Robin Park Arena to prepare for the game, before walking through the Fan Village at around 7:30pm.
Prior to the walk through, supporters can soak up the pre-match atmosphere in the Fan Village – open from 5:30pm – which will include live music. Read more about Friday’s Fan Village walkthrough HERE.
Inside The Brick Community Stadium
Inside The Brick Community Stadium our Armed Forces celebration will continue. Keep your eyes peeled as the Royal Marines will take part in an abseil display from the roof of the West Stand.
The Reeva veterans support dog programme will also deliver the match ball, whilst tributes will be paid before the playing of The Last Post ahead of kick-off.
Tickets for Friday’s game remain on-sale online HERE and at The Brick Community Stadium Ticket Office until kick-off on Friday night (Mon-Fri 9am-5pm).
