RugBees returns with the Warriors
The RugBees programme is aiming to tackle these stereotypes and redefine what Rugby League means to girls.
RugBees is an exciting programme aimed at girls aged 7 to 11 which will offer a fun introduction to rugby league, developing skills and confidence in an environment designed to help young girls thrive. Weekly sessions will be delivered in partnership with Wigan Warriors Community Foundation with no need for memberships just a small fee per session.

Start Date: Tuesday 4th June (Sessions will run weekly until Tuesday 20th August)
Days and Times: Every Tuesday 5pm – 5:45pm (7-9 years) or 5:45pm – 6:30pm (10-11 years)
Location: Robin Park Arena
Cost: £1 Per Session
Weekly sessions will be delivered by Anna Davies, the prolific Warriors Women’s winger who is also in the England Development Programme, as well as new signing from Australia, Rease Casey.
Rugby League Development Manager, John Whalley said: “It is great that we can once again offer these sessions to girls aged between 7-11 that are starting off on their Rugby League journey, we would like to see many girls come and try out these sessions to have fun, make new friends and enjoy what Rugby League is all about.
“Wigan Warriors Community Foundation are pleased to be able to support this continued initiative by The RFL to aid the development of girls Rugby League in Wigan.”
Warriors player and Community Foundation Coach, Anna Davies added: “It is wonderful to see girls enjoying playing Rugby League. Whether trying Rugby League for the first time or continuing to develop skills, we want girls to enjoy playing, make friendships and be inspired by players who have a passion for growing the game.”
