The Warriors return to league action at the DW Stadium for the first time since Round 3 as Matt Peet’s side take on Castleford Tigers in the second meeting between the sides in five days.

Squad News

Matt Peet has made one change to the 21-player squad he named for the Betfred Challenge Cup win at Castleford, as Willie Isa is replaced by Mike Cooper who is set to play his first minutes since the Betfred World Club Challenge victory over Penrith Panthers.

Castleford head coach Craig Lingard has made three changes to a 19-player squad ahead of the league meeting, as Joe Westerman, Luis Johnson and Sylvester Namo are replaced by Sam Hall, Liam Watts and new loan addition Louis Senior.

Matt Peet spoke to the press on Wednesday afternoon ahead of the clash against the Tigers.

Peet said: “There’s things that we did well that we’ll look to replicate and build on, but there’s also areas we can certainly improve and develop.”

On Castleford, Peet added: “They’re going to have improved and learned in order to be better, so we have to be the same.”

Tickets, which include entry to both matches, remain available to purchase online HERE, over the phone on 01942 311111, or in person from the DW Stadium Ticket Office (Mon-Fri 9am-5pm).

Please note that turnstiles will be open from 5pm for entry ahead of the Women’s game.

Fan Village

Our Fan Village will be open from 6pm on Friday evening to soak up all the pre-match atmosphere inside Robin Park Arena!

Our exclusive Wigan Warriors player cards make a return for the first time this season, with supporters able to collect the first two players. Please note that a maximum of one player card will be distributed per person, and cards will be located in the Fan Village, our Robin Park Arena Club Store, as well as all bars pre and post-match.

Supporters can listen to live music inside the Fan Village from Cool Cats Covers Band, and our two on-site bars will be in operation from when doors open. Food will also be available out on the running track. Please note that our Fan Village bars only accept card payments.

Between 6-7pm, all children are invited to take part in our Community Foundation led activities, which includes our try scoring inflatable, wheelchair rugby, and our Davanti Tyres passing challenge. Places are limited, and we ask that interested participants meet at the red Community Foundation gazebo on the running track.
