Matt Peet has previewed Saturday’s Betfred Super League Round 4 clash against London Broncos at the cherry red records stadium.
The Warriors will be aiming to continue their perfect start to the season against the newly promoted side in the capital, after claiming wins over Castleford Tigers and Huddersfield Giants.
Reflecting on Friday night’s Round 3 victory over Huddersfield, Peet said: “I was very proud of the performance and the application. We always knew it was going to be a challenge coming out of the Penrith event and into a tough game against Huddersfield which had the potential of being a tricky fixture.
“The lads started in such a manner that we got ourselves in front and kept it that way which made me really happy. There were times where we dipped below our standards, but it was a performance we had to get right and I’ll certainly take the result.”
Looking ahead to the clash against the Broncos, Peet said: “London will show determination, pride and hard work as they are committed group with who present their own challenges so we will have to be somewhere close to our best to win the game. We will concentrate on improving the lessons learnt from Penrith and Huddersfield so we can improve as a group and take the team to the next level.”
Speaking on the Broncos return to Super League, Peet said: “Rugby league in London is very important for our game and it’s excellent to see London back in Super League. They weren’t one of the favourites but they went on that run and played with so much commitment that they should be commended for what they did – they deserve to be back.”
