Wigan Warriors will walk through the Fan Village with the betfred world club challenge trophy ahead of Friday night’s betfred Super League clash against Huddersfield Giants.
As part of the Club’s celebrations of becoming World Champions, the First Team will be led through the Fan Village by Club stalwarts Malcolm Clarke, who has been the Club stats man for 37 years, along with long-term scouts Jack Roden and John Jackson.
Prior to the walk through, supporters can soak up the pre-match atmosphere in the Fan Village – open from 5:30pm – which will include live music from guitar/vocalist Dave McNamara. Supporters will be able to watch a re-run of our victory over Penrith Panthers from 6pm, as well as having the opportunity to get a photo taken with the Betfred World Club Challenge trophy.
The players involved in the matchday squad will use the changing room facilities at Robin Park Arena to prepare for the game, before walking through the Fan Village at around 7:30pm.
The Warriors will enter the DW Stadium through the South West corner, before running straight onto the pitch for the pre-game warm up. The players will then use the changing rooms in the stadium as normal for their final preparations ahead of kick off.
Around 30 minutes after the final hooter, the players will leave the stadium together and walk back through the Fan Village to the changing rooms at Robin Park Arena.
Please note, during the walk through there will be flashing lights that could trigger seizures for people with visual sensitivities.
Match tickets for the clash against the Giants have been reduced to £5 per person, and can be purchased either from the DW Stadium Ticket Office in-person, by calling 01942311111 or online HERE. Full details on Friday night’s celebration with the World Champions can be found HERE.
