Match Preview: Hull FC (Pre-Season)

In association with Davanti Tyres, here is everything you need to know ahead of Sunday’s pre-season friendly against Hull FC.

The Warriors travel to the MKM Stadium on Sunday afternoon (2pm K.O.) to take on fellow Super League side Hull FC for Scott Taylor’s Testimonial game.

Squad News

The Warriors have selected a 22-player squad for the fixture, which includes seven players who are yet to feature this pre-season.

Hull FC have also named a 22-man squad for the friendly, which includes former Warrior Scott Taylor, who won a Super League Grand Final and Challenge Cup during is time at the DW Stadium.

Coaches Quotes

Matt Peet told Wigan TV that he will be looking to field his ‘strongest team’ against Hull FC in preparation for the start of the Super League season.

Peet said: “We will start the game with what I perceive to be our strongest team before we make some interchanges which will best prepare the 17 for Castleford.”

Player Preview

Ahead of Sunday’s game, captain Liam Farrell said: “We will be looking to build on last weekend [against Wakefield]. There were some decent individual performances but I think we can invest in some areas of our team performances. Our biggest aim at the start of the year is making sure we build on the simple things and get them right.”

Match tickets are now unavailable to buy online or in-Store at Robin Park Arena, however, cash turnstiles will be in operation at the MKM Stadium on the day.

Ticket prices for the game are as follows:

  • £12 Concession
  • £5 Junior

The Warriors will play in their new Kappa away jersey at the MKM Stadium.
