Coaches Quotes

Assistant coaches Sean O’Loughlin and Tommy Leuluai will take charge of the fixture to provide Matt Peet with the opportunity to take a closer look at players from the stands.

Speaking ahead of the clash, O’Loughlin said: “It’s a great experience to have the reigns handed over to us and to head up a gameday, but it also gives Matty the opportunity to sit back and watch the game more clearly.

“Matty will be able to see who impresses without having his coaches hat on, whilst ultimately it’s an opportunity for Tommy and myself to learn.”

Player Preview

Jake Wardle has expressed his excitement on returning to the field for the first time since he received the Harry Sunderland Trophy for his Man of the Match performance in the Super League Grand Final.

Wardle said: “I’m excited to be back playing. I’m also looking forward to getting out there with a mix of players and I know everyone else is really keen as well.”
