Wigan Warriors can confirm that Harvey Makin will re-join Barrow Raiders on a season-long loan at the end of January.
After completing pre-season with Wigan, the 20-year-old prop forward will return to the Championship side at the end of the month.
Makin played five games for Barrow in 2023, as well as an appearance for London Broncos. He also featured twice on dual registration for League One side Oldham, in which he scored a debut try in the Challenge Cup.
The St Jude’s junior, who was named in Matt Peet’s squad for the Round 13 trip to Hull KR in 2023, is still to make his first team debut.
On the move, Wigan Warriors Transition Coach John Duffy said: “Harvey had a great end to the season after coming back from a long-term injury, and we feel he benefited from playing in the Championship and needs to continue his development playing week to week.
“Barrow is a good fit for Harvey after his loan spell there last year. He will be well coached by Paul who we know well.”
