The Lathums come to Robin Park
- Homebound heroes, The Lathums announce outdoor Wigan mega-gig for summer 2024.
- 11,500 fans to gather at Robin Park Arena next July for the band’s most ambitious headline UK show to date.
- Tickets on sale from 9am on 8 December at Ticketmaster.com and GigsandTours.com
Wigan’s own The Lathums will perform at Robin Park Arena on Friday 19 July, as the band become the fourth artist to take part in the Summer Music event at the Club’s training ground.
Following on from the success of their first studio album ‘How Beautiful Life Can Be’, released in September 2021, the band released ‘From Nothing to a Little Bit More’ in March 2023 with the group touring in early 2024.
Having toured extensively through 2023, including landmark dates in support of their second No.1 album, ‘From Nothing To A Little Bit More’, and visiting Europe’s major cities once more, this time on over 30 dates supporting Louis Tomlinson, the huge Robin Park Arena date is the first, and most momentous, headline show announcement made by The Lathums for 2024 – and they promise a hometown spectacular.
Completed by founder members Alex Moore (lead vocals/guitar), Scott Concepcion (guitar/piano) and Ryan Durrans (drums), plus adopted-Wiganer and latest member, Liverpool native, Matty Murphy (bass), the Robin Park Arena announcement, whilst heading into a run of sold out, intimate year-ending dates, concludes another expectation-shattering year for The Lathums.
Alex, Scott, Ryan and Matty will be supported by the Nottingham singer-songwriter Jake Bugg, who was nominated for Best Breakthrough Act at the Brits in 2013 and won Best Solo Artist at the 2015 NME Awards.
The Lathums will also be supported by Brooke Coombe, who enjoyed a remarkable breakthrough year in 2021 which saw her win the Breakthrough Female prize at the Scottish Music Awards before she released her debut album ‘Black is The New Gold’ in April 2023.
