We are delighted to announce that Noel Gallagher’s High Flying Birds will perform at Robin Park Arena on Thursday 18 July 2024, as part of Wigan Summer Music series.
Having already announced that Richard Ashcroft and James Arthur will be performing at Robin Park Arena in July, Noel Gallagher’s High Flying Birds will headline Robin Park Arena on 18 July.
Following a successful 2023, which has already seen the release of the highly anticipated, critically acclaimed fourth studio album, ‘Council Skies’, the band will play at Robin Park Arena ahead of a sold-out homecoming gig at Manchester’s Wythenshawe Park on August Bank Holiday weekend.
This year’s performances were rapturously received, described as “emotional and thrilling” by the BBC, “typically legendary” by the Daily Mirror, and “sounding bigger and bolder than ever” by CLASH.
Wigan Warriors Chief Executive Kris Radlinski said: “Just last week we unveiled the iconic Richard Ashcroft. Now, we’re thrilled to announce another musical icon who likely penned the soundtrack to many of our lives – the legendary Noel Gallagher and his High Flying Birds.
“Undoubtedly inspired by both Richard and Noel, The Lathums are making waves and bringing pride to our town in the music world, experiencing a meteoric rise in the industry. And as the perfect opener, we present the brilliant James Arthur.”
“With Manchester United coming to face Wigan Athletic in January and the Penrith Panthers coming to play in the World Club Challenge in February, it is truly an exciting time to be a Wiganer.”
