Four Warriors were in international action over the weekend for England Men and Wales Women.

England 14-4 Tonga

Harry Smith and Toby King started for England as Shaun Wane’s side defeated Tonga at the John Smith’s Stadium to seal the series ahead of next weekend’s final match in Leeds.

Smith successfully kicked three of his four goal attempts in the victory, as Liam Farrell came off the bench on 77 minutes to make his first international appearance since October 2021.

Tyler Dupree, who is yet to make an appearance in the series, will be hoping to feature in the third and final match at Headingley Stadium next Saturday.

France Women 14-4 Wales Women

Carys Marsh started in the halves as Wales were beaten by France in Carcassonne in a historic first ever game between the two nations.

Laureane Biville opened the scoring for France who added further tries through Perle Ramazeilles and Dorine Samarra, before York Valkyrie’s Georgia Taylor crossed for Wales late on.

Wales take on England Women in Leeds next Saturday in a clash which could see Marsh come up against Warriors teammates Anna Davies and Vicky Molyneux, who have been named in the 20-player squad for the fixture.
