Wigan Warriors Community Foundation have teamed up with official charity partner Nordoff and Robbins to provide all participants on selected summer camps the opportunity to be flag bearers against Hull KR.

Our official charity partner Nordoff and Robbins will be taking over our home fixture against Hull KR next Friday to provide flag waving experiences for children who book onto selected summer camps.

Participants at our Ince Rose Bridge (31 July and 1 August) and Orrell St James’ (2-3 August) camps will be given a voucher to obtain the experience.

One voucher will be provided per attendee, who can then claim an experience ticket from the DW Stadium Ticket Office up until kick off. The match ticket will be located in the North Stand (non-transferable), and there will be an option to purchase additional adults and junior tickets at a group rate.

Participants do not need to be affiliated to either club to attend, and our rugby camps are available to children of all abilities between the ages of 6-11. Our coaches will adapt each activity to suit the varying ability levels of the attendees each day.

Day one at the camps will have an attacking focus which will include sessions such as try scoring, as well as other skills and games. Day two will be defensive based and will include sessions focusing on wrestling and tackling techniques with the use of tackle pads.

In between the sessions, participants will be able to enjoy taking part in fun games.

Children will be required to bring the following for each day on camp:

  • Water (refillable bottle)
  • Packed lunch
  • Boots or trainers
  • Appropriate clothing depending on the weather conditions.
