Matt Peet gave an update on injuries from Robin Park Arena ahead of Wigan’s Round 19 clash with Warrington Wolves on Friday.

In his weekly press conference, the Warriors Head Coach was boosted by the return of Kai Pearce-Paul to his 21-man squad. Pearce-Paul has been absent since Round 12 with a hamstring injury: “Physically Kai looks brilliant, the staff have done a good job and he’s been really determined.”

Ethan Havard left the field early against Wakefield Trinity last Friday, as Peet updated: “Ethan is probably going to be around the four-week mark. It’s a tough one to take, he’s been so important for us particularly since his return from injury against Warrington last time, he’s been exceptional.”

He added: “Willie [Isa] should be back in full training next week and I think he will come back into contention over the next few weeks and Sam Powell is a few weeks after that, probably a similar time as Ethan.

“They’re all working very hard, they’re very determined and continue to have an affect on the group – but you’d rather you had them in your 21.”
