Wigan Warriors extended their winning run to three matches with a 22-6 victory over Huddersfield Giants at the DW Stadium.

Despite a late consolation score from the visitors, Wigan claimed the two points as Liam Farrell made his 300th Super League appearance.
Report
The Warriors suppressed early Huddersfield pressure, and after a big hit from Liam Marshall on Kevin Naiqama to force a knock on, Wigan worked the ball wide where Bevan French’s looping pass set Miski up to score for the sixth consecutive match.
An even contest unfolded for most of the half as both sides looked to threaten through kicks in difficult conditions. The Warriors almost added a second when Jake Wardle touched down Harry Smith’s grubber kick through, however, the ball was grounded out of play.
The Cherry and Whites extended their lead three minutes before the break when off the back of a dangerous break from Field, Smith’s pass out wide allowed Toby King to set Miski up once more for his second try of the half.
Smith fantastically added the extras from the touchline as Wigan saw out the closing remaining minutes to lead 10-0 at the break.
The Warriors extended their lead after 48 minutes when Field’s dummy created space which he was able to accelerate through to dive over. Smith added the extras from the tee, to give Wigan a 16-0 lead.
Dissent from Huddersfield’s Jake Connor allowed Wigan to gain 10m, and after starting the set from 40m, a high kick on the final tackle bounced to French who knocked forwards in his attempt to ground.
Wigan were reduced to 12-men on the hour when Ethan Havard was sin-binned for a hit on Olly Wilson. Huddersfield went close to have capitalising on the man advantage when Chris McQueen powered through, however, fantastic defensive work from the Warriors forced the forward into touch.
With the momentum from the tackle, Miski and Field combined to gain more than 40 metres before the full back’s delicate kick was touched down by Marshall. Smith was accurate once again from the touchline to increase the lead to 22-0.
The Giants crossed through former Warrior Jake Bibby with five minutes to go when he forced his way over in the corner before Connor added the extras for the final points of the match from the tee.
