- FT | Wigan Warriors 22-6 Huddersfield Giants.
Matt Peet praised his Wigan Warriors side after a 22-6 win over Huddersfield Giants at the DW Stadium.
Reflecting on the result, Peet said: “It was pleasing again. It was a challenging game against a determined team with big bodies. We started physically and there were times when we saved some tries, but I thought we managed the game well and looked in control for most parts.”
On similarities to the Salford Red Devils performance, Peet said: “You have to play those types of games when they come and the last two matches have been very similar performances. We are playing well, building momentum, and have had happy feelings after both matches.”
Speaking on Abbas Miski, Peet said: “I thought he was Man of the Match tonight. He’s been excellent, he got his tries and he defended excellently as well. He is a pleasure to coach at the moment.”
Looking ahead to Wakefield Trinity, Peet said: “First we are going to enjoy the win and enjoy tomorrow as we have a big Family Fun Day together for Sam Powell’s Testimonial. Then we will start to look at Wakefield after we have reviewed this game, and that will be another tough challenge as they have a bit of momentum now.”
