Three Warriors join Hurricanes on loan
- Three Warriors Academy players will join Midlands Hurricanes on one-month loans.
- Beardsworth, Rothwell and Wood are available for the upcoming Betfred League One games.
- All three players are in the squad for this weekend’s game against Workington Town.
Wigan Warriors can confirm that three Academy players have joined Midlands Hurricanes on one-month loan deals.
Second Rower Finley Beardsworth and Prop Forwards Kavan Rothwell and Max Wood will take up the opportunity with Betfred League One side Midlands Hurricanes and are all available for this weekend’s fixture against Workington Town.
Transition Coach, John Duffy, said: “This is a great opportunity for three of our Academy players to get some game time in a different environment, but whilst also having the chance to test themselves in League One. We look forward to seeing Finley, Kavan and Max in action for the Hurricanes.”
Hurricanes Head Coach, Mark Dunning commented: “We have added some new faces to the squad from Wigan this week and I want to thank Matt Peet and John Duffy for allowing us to welcome Max Wood, Kavan Rothwell and Fin Beardsworth into the Hurricanes family on loan at a time when we are heavily depleted. I’m really looking forward to seeing the enthusiasm they bring to our group.”
