Reserves win against Bulls

Wigan Warriors Reserves scored eight tries through eight different scorers to continue an unbeaten start to the season.

Wigan saw Maddox Jeffery sent to the sin bin after 4 minutes and Bradford made the most of it as they opened the game with two quick tries from Turgut and Barrett in the opening 10 minutes, both converted by Lawford to put the visitors 12-0 up.

Wigan responded quickly though, as Charlie Yeomans crossed, before Harvey Makin scored to get the Warriors level and see us the sides in at the break all square at 12-12.

Wigan scored after the restart through Tom Mitchell, but again the Bulls responded with two tries in three minutes from Myers and Newboult to make it 22-16 to the visitors.

Ethan Fitzgerald reduced the deficit just short of the hour mark but a missed conversion left Wigan trailing by two, however the Bulls couldn’t handle Wigan from there on in.

Maddox Jefferey and Trent Kelly-Duffy scored a try each, just three minutes apart to set Wigan out to 32-22, before Finlay Irwin scored in the 67th minute for 38-22.

Max Wood had the final say with a score in the 77th minute, which was converted by Kieran Tyrer to complete the 44-22 win on home soil.
