Matt Peet gave a small injury update from Robin Park Arena ahead of the Warriors Round 11 trip to Hull FC.

Peet spoke on Jake Wardle who collided with the advertising boards in Saturday’s mid-Season international: “He’s fine, I think he enjoyed the game, I thought he had some great touches and he took his try really well so we had a little bit of a laugh about it but he’s in good health.”

On other injuries, he said: “Nobody else comes back this week but hopefully one of the Leeds games or just beyond that, maybe Magic Weekend for Jai [Field]. Custy [Cade Cust] is hitting the mark as he should be and we’ll be looking to fit him back in around the Challenge Cup game.”

Iain Thornley and Ryan Hampshire have both been named in Matt Peet’s 21-man squad for Thursday after featuring for the Reserves at the weekend: “I was proud to see Ryan [Hampshire] and the way he played. He’s worked very hard behind the scenes and throwing Iain Thornley into the mix there he had some game time at Barrow but it was good for them both and I thought they both performed really well, especially Iain in the second half.

“It all adds to the competition for places and depth which we are going to need, there’s a massive part of the season yet to come and we’re going to need all of those lads whether it’s in training or on the field in Super League.”
