Warriors international round-up

  • Seven Warriors were in action for England over the weekend.
  • Vicky Molyneux was vice-Captain for England Women.
  • Havard, King, Pearce-Paul, Smith, Smithies, Wardle all in action for England.

Seven Warriors were in action during the mid-season international for England as both teams took big wins over France at the Halliwell Jones Stadium.

England Women 64-0 France Women.

Wigan Warriors’ Victoria Molyneux was on the interchange bench as England Women ran in twelve tries to take a huge victory over France in the opening mid-season international match.

Molyneux, who made her international debut for England back in 2007, was involved as a sub and also vice-captained the side for the first time. The England team were relentless as they ran in eleven tries through Leah Burke (4), Shona Hoyle, Tamzin Renouf, Eboni Partington, Tara-Jane Stanley, Hollie Dodd (2), Sinead Peach and Amy Hardcastle.

England 64-0 France.

Following on from the early score in the Women’s game, England Men also ran in the same scoreline of 64-0 with eleven tries.

Six Warriors were involved in Ethan Havard, Toby King, Kai Pearce-Paul, Harry Smith, Morgan Smithies and Jake Wardle. Ethan Havard, Kai Pearce-Paul and Jake Wardle all crossed for a try each, whilst Harry Smith also went over for a try and converting nine goals for a personal tally of 22-points on the afternoon.

Other tries for England came from Ash Handley (3), George Williams (3) and Danny Walker.
