Rozalla to perform at home opener
Wigan Warriors are delighted to confirm that singer Rozalla will perform at our 2023 Betfred Super League home opener on Friday 24th February.
Rozalla, better known for her 90s anthems ‘Everybody’s Free (To Feel Good)’, ‘Faith (In the Power of Love)’ and ‘Are You Ready To Fly’ will be performing both at the pre-match Robin Park Arena fan village before heading over to the DW Stadium where she will entertain the crowds ahead of our highly anticipated home opener.
First hitting the UK scene in the early 1990’s, the singer found her largest success with ‘Everybody’s Free (To Feel Good)’ which reached Number 6 in the UK singles chart in 1991 and found great success all across Europe. She then went on to tour with legendary musician Micheal Jackson in 1992 and has continued her illustrious dance music career throughout the decades.
Wigan host Wakefield Trinity in Round 2 of the Super League at the DW on Friday 24th February as they look to bounce back from an opening day loss at Hull KR. The last time Warriors faced off against the West Yorkshire outfit at the DW Stadium it finished Wigan 54-10 Wakefield, with Bevan French, Jai Field and Brad Singleton all scoring twice.
