Community Stand launched
Wigan Warriors and Wigan Warriors Community Foundation are pleased to launch our ‘Community Stand’ ahead of the 2023 Betfred Super League Season.
In 2022, Wigan Warriors worked strongly with their Community of fans to re-engage, make a connection and bring the family feel back to Wigan Warriors and Rugby League. In 2023, we aim to further this with a brand-new offer at the DW Stadium.
During the 2022 season, the Community Foundation engaged with 63 Club and School ambassadors; providing them with training opportunities, experiences within the club and access to group packages. We are delighted to announce that for the 2023 season, we will have a brand-new offer for our School and Club ambassadors.
A Section of the North Stand within the DW stadium has been rebranded as the ‘Wigan Warriors Community Stand’, with ambassadors and partners of the Wigan Warriors Community Foundation able to access group packages for 7 match days across the season.
The stand will also be open for people who have purchased match day experiences and their families. Club and School Ambassadors will be contacted directly with details on how to purchase.

Speaking on the launch of the stand, Head of Community Guy Wood said: “This is a fantastic opportunity to celebrate the relationship between Wigan Warriors and the Community. We are really excited to have home supporters in all corners of the ground supporting the team during the 2023 season.
“We aim to create an electric atmosphere. The growth in number of attendees during matchdays is a reflection of all the opportunities that have been created by both the Club and its Community Foundation. A special mention to those Community Clubs across the county who turn up in numbers to watch Wigan Warriors at the DW Stadium. This new Community Foundation stand is dedicated to you.”
