Warriors Loan Report

  • Five Warriors in loan action on Sunday afternoon.
  • Nsemba and Douglas both started for Whitehaven.
  • Eckersley started for Broncos with Hill and Silva at interchange.

Five Warriors were in loan action on Sunday afternoon as Whitehaven and London Broncos went head-to-head, with all five players involved in the match.

Junior Nsemba and Jacob Douglas making try-scoring debuts on loan for Whitehaven, with all three tries for the Cumbrian side on Sunday scored by the Warriors loanees.

Douglas got his first with a barnstorming 70 metre sprint, weaving his way between Broncos defenders and using his abundance of pace to get the ball down.

Douglas added his second after some quick passing found its way to him on the left, with the winger flying over the line in the corner to put the ball down and double his tally

Nsemba got his try after some good work from a Whitehaven player to create the space for a layoff for the prop forward to run into to get on the scoresheet.

On the other side of the pitch, Zach Eckersley started for London Broncos with Ramon Silva and Harvie Hill both featuring off the interchange bench for the victorious London side.

Silva signed for the Betfred Championship outfit at the beginning of the month, making his first appearance by featuring as an interchange in their 20-30 home loss to Batley Bulldogs.

Eckersley and Hill joined the Brazilian at The Cherry Red Records Stadium last Thursday, with all three signing on initial one-month loans.
