The Warriors make the trip to Cumbria this Sunday (3pm K.O.) for their first pre-season fixture of 2023 to face Betfred Championship outfit Whitehaven.

Academy Head Coach, John Duffy, will lead the team this Sunday with a youthful side to take on Whitehaven in the Warriors’ first fixture of 2023. The Head Coach has selected a number of the new additions to the first team as well as giving outings to a host of Academy talent.

Speaking ahead of the game, John Duffy said: “We are really looking forward to this game, at this point in the year everyone is excited for the games to get started and we are all ready for a challenge on Sunday.
“This is an exciting game for us, our young players get to test themselves against a strong Whitehaven team.”
He added: “As an opening game to the year it is great for us to travel and play against a championship side with lots of talent which, will make for a great start to 2023.”
