Warriors partner with LCS Pipework

Wigan Warriors are pleased to announce a new Kit partnership with Wigan-based LCS Pipework Ltd on the players’ shorts.

The initial two-year deal for 2023 and 2024 will see the company logo go on the front of the home and away shorts on the First Team and Women’s First Team kits. The partnership is launched alongside a campaign to support care leavers involving Wigan Council.

LCS Pipework are donating to the council’s care leavers team this Christmas as they want to help over the festive period with children who have recently left care within the Wigan Borough.

The care leavers team supports young people who have been in care in lots of different ways; offering both practical and emotional support, signposting them to useful services, helping them to develop life skills and running social opportunities.

As part of the partnership, Wigan Warriors are teaming up with LCS to support the Wigan children in care team and care leavers bringing much-needed and deserved support and opportunities. We look forward to building a brighter future as part of a Wigan team.

On the partnership, LCS Directors Chris Williscroft and Leon Shaw, said: “As lifelong Wigan fans we are proud to partner up with the Warriors in the upcoming seasons. The Club have a fantastic history for the town and community and to be part of this is something special. Having this opportunity and being able to support and help the Wigan children in care team and care leavers is something that LCS are privileged to assist with as part of the Wigan Community.”

Warriors Sales Director, Geoff Warburton, said: “I am pleased to welcome Chris, Leon and the whole team from LCS Pipework who are longstanding fans and really grateful for this extension to the relationship we have built over the last couple of years. It is so pleasing to see them also supporting the care leavers team and the club are pleased to be involved with LCS Pipework on this”

Colette Dutton, Director of Children’s Services at Wigan Council, added: “Our leaving care team work really hard, especially at this time of year, to make sure that our young care leavers feel safe and supported.

“These generous donations from Wigan Warriors and LCS will really enhance what we are able to offer to young people this year.

“We really appreciate these prominent local organisations coming together to support young people.”

Councillor Carl Sweeney, Lead Member for Youth Opportunities, said: “We’re very grateful to both Wigan Warriors and LCS for their donations.

“We know that young people who have recently left care do need extra support, particularly at this time of year, and it’s fantastic that these organisations have stepped forward and offered this extra help.”
