Warriors Together: Week 2

  • Community Foundation head out in the Community for a second week for ‘Warriors Together’ programme.
  • This week players visited Aspull and Westhoughton.
  • Warriors Together launched on Friday 2nd December.

Warriors Together aims to have an impact on all areas of the borough by working with schools and community groups in the most deprived and hard-to-reach areas of Wigan.

Taking place on Friday afternoons, Foundation staff and players are going out to deliver engaging sessions in person in high schools, primary schools and at Robin Park Arena. The delivery is also being extended to the Foundation’s community groups such as Rugby Memories.

Week 2 – Friday 9th December

  • Holy Family Primary School
  • Aspull Church Primary School
  • St John Fisher High School
  • Westhoughton High School
  • Rugby Memories Christmas Party

The second week of delivery saw Warriors first team players head out into the Community at Aspull and Westhoughton. Primary Schools were treated to fun-packed interactive assemblies whilst the high schools took part in a practical session with Community Foundation staff and players.

Back at Robin Park Arena, our Community Foundation Rugby Memories group were invited for a Christmas Party, where they were served a Christmas dinner by the players and also enjoyed some live music from Ali Boland as well as some carols from the singing club at St James’ Primary School.
