Liam Farrell said ‘everyone is upbeat’ as the Warriors prepare for Round 20 of Betfred Super League against Leeds Rhinos this Thursday.

“Everyone is upbeat and so we should be, the way we’ve been playing is great but at the same time as being upbeat it’s level headed and there’s no room to be complacent. We’re just looking forward to getting back on the field again because times like these when you’re enjoying playing Rugby with each other you should be looking forward to playing matches.”

“Everyone is just enjoying their own individual roles,” he said, “the team is looking very settled at the moment but there’s competition for places, it’s a healthy squad and that’s the way we want to be at this time of the year.”

Looking ahead to this week’s opponents, Leeds, he said: “They’re a massively established Club and regardless of how they’ve travelled this year, playing Leeds at Headingley is never an easy game. We’ll expect to go there and face the best of Leeds, it was a tough result for them at the weekend but they’ve got players coming back in and there’s a lot of talented players in that team.”

He added: “They’ve got a lot of talented players, we can’t deny that, so we’ve got to make sure we’re on and nullify their threats.”
