Coming up this week

  • Four Warriors teams in action this week.
  • First team, Wheelchair and LDRL teams all take part in Magic Weekend.
  • Academy look to get back to winning ways in Hull.

Four Warriors teams are in action on Saturday with the Academy, Wheelchair, LDRL and first team sides all pulling on the Cherry & White this week.

Academy

Our Academy side are back in action as they look to get back to winning ways after two losses in recent weeks. They travel to the University of Hull as they face Hull FC at 12pm on Saturday. Half time and full time updates will be available on our social media pages.

Wheelchair

Also on Saturday, our Wheelchair side are back on the court as they face London Roosters at 3pm in the Wheelchair Magic Weekend at the National Basketball Centre in Manchester. The Warriors are in fine form and their last fixture saw them take a huge win over title prospects Halifax Panthers. Half time and full time updates will be available on our social media pages.

First team

The first team run out at St James’ Park in Newcastle in the final game of day one at Magic Weekend. They face local rivals St Helens, with the game kicking off at 4:45pm.

Following the results of Round 17, Wigan now sit just two points behind Saints in the table and a win for the Warriors at Magic could put them on level terms going into the business end of the season.

LDRL

After a fantastic two wins from two in a mini festival at the Be Well Support Stadium in Wakefield last weekend following the first team match. Our LDRL side take the field again, this time they will play a mini-game at half time of Wigan Warriors v St Helens at St James’ Park, Newcastle as part of Magic Weekend.
