Coach quotes

“I thought the way that we reacted out of the Tottenham experience was really positive for where we want to be as a group and organisation, not just this season but for the future. It’s a no excuses approach.”

On this week’s opposition, Salford, he said: “I think Salford at their best are a really quality team. We judge them on their two performances against us this year and both games have been as tough as any we’ve had. If you look at the last one there was time where they carved us up for fun, posted tries and they have the ability to do that if you’re off the mark. The attacking threats they’ve got, particularly through the backline, you know that if you start slow or have any inconsistencies in your defence they are a team that will expose it.”
