Peet has made three changes to the 21 that was involved in the Cup Final. Sam Powell returns to the squad following his six-match ban, while youngsters Matty Nicholson and Sam Halsall also come in. 

Morgan Smithies also drops out after picking up a four-match suspension for two separate High Tackle sanctions in the Cup Final, Club Captain Tommy Leuluai is rested.

Injury News

Cade Cust misses out after dislocating his elbow in the Cup Final. In his press conference on Wednesday Peet did not put a time-frame on the half back’s return as he is still awaiting to see a specialist. Read the full injury update HERE.

Matt Peet has named his Cherry and Whites squad for Saturday’s fixture.

Castleford Tigers Head Coach Lee Radford also named his side for the fixture on Thursday afternoon.

Coach quotes

On this weeks opposition, Peet said: “We are in the exact position we want to be in. We have got to put the excuses to one side and concentrate on getting the performance because we all know Castleford is a tough place to visit.”

With the forced changes to the team, Peet spoke about an alteration in the halves: “We are not sure what way we will go but we have a few options with [Sam] Powell, Jai [Field], and Bevan [French]. We are blessed in a way that we have players who can adapt and play different roles.”

Tickets for Wigan Warriors’ Betfred Super League Round 14 trip to Castleford Tigers on Saturday 4th June (2pm K.O.) are now off sale but pay on the day will be available at the Mend-A-Hose Jungle.

There are no more match or Official Club Travel coach sales available and all tickets bought online will be posted out. 

Pay on the day

Wigan fans will be based in the North Stand and it is an unreserved standing terrace area. 

There will be a price increase for tickets bought on the day of the game. Pay on the day will be available with the following prices: 

  • Adult (17-59) – £25
  • Concessions (65+, full time students) – £16
  • Junior Member (16 and under) – £16
  • Junior (16 and under) – £16

Car Parking

Car parking is available on Walton Street Car Park. It costs £5 per car and cash payment only.

Fan Zone

Both home and visiting supporters are encouraged to arrive earlier and sample our Fan Zone behind the Main Stand, get your afternoon started in style and enjoy the atmosphere! You can grab quality drinks and food, as well as enjoy our music and entertainment both before and after the game.

Live Music and Entertainment

It wouldn’t be a Platinum Jubilee Weekend without a touch of Queen! The headline entertainment live on the pitch ahead of the match action and during half time will be sensational Freddie Mercury tribute artist Bulsara!

In the Fan Zone fans will be entertained pre-match by Danny Egan, post-match by Candice Honnor as well as a resident DJ before and after the game.

Food

  • The ‘Street Kitchen’ on the concourse behind the Main Stand has a whole host of options including burgers, curry, kebabs, loaded fries and toasties, wraps, southern fried chicken, and MORE!
  • The Princess Street Pie Bar will be open for the traditional rugby league delicacy
  • PLUS more options around the ground.

Drinks

  • The ‘Doom Bar Real Ale Bar’ features a number of guest beers in the Fan Zone.
  • Our Bottle Bars are located around the ground, allowing supporters to speed up queues.
  • Give the gin, wine, and prosecco bar a go in the Fan Zone.
  • The Legends Lounge will be open ahead of the game and post-match too.

Saturday afternoon’s game will be shown live and free on Channel 4. The programme starts at 1:30pm for pre-match build up before the 2pm kick off.
