Wigan Warriors travel to the John Smith’s Stadium this Thursday 12th May as they face Huddersfield Giants for the second time this season, 8pm K.O.

Team news

Matt Peet has made five changes to the squad that faced St Helens in the Challenge Cup Semi Final on Saturday. Rotating his squad, Liam Marshall, John Bateman, Morgan Smithies, Liam Byrne and Jai Field all drop out. In their place come James McDonnell, Umyla Hanley, Matty Nicholson, Logan Astley and Jack Bibby as well as the inclusion of Willie Isa who was a late omission from the squad last week.

Injury news

The Warriors boss confirmed that he had no new injury concerns from the game against St Helens on Saturday afternoon, Tommy Leuluai and Kai Pearce-Paul remain sidelined with long term injuries.

Matt Peet has named his Cherry and Whites squad for Thursday’s fixture.

Huddersfield Head Coach Ian Watson also named his side for the fixture on Tuesday afternoon.

On this weeks game, Peet said: “I think it’s an important league game in it’s own right if you look at where the two teams are. It’s another week where we’ll be looking for improvements, we look to improve as a group but there’s a lot of individuals in there as well that know that they need to improve certain elements of their game and that’s why they’re in.

“I think execution is going to be important, the team that wins the energy battle, as well as getting the combinations flowing will probably be on top. Looking at both squads, there’s certainly a lot of talent on show.”

Pay on the day

Match tickets will be available on the day of the game but there will be a £4 increase from 12pm on Thursday 12th May.

Tickets are available to buy in-Store in-person at Robin Park Arena. Please note there are no more online or telephone sales being taken for this game. All tickets already bought online will be posted out.

On Wednesday 11th May and Thursday 12th May our Club Store is open from 10am until 7pm.

Coaches for Huddersfield will depart from Robin Park Arena on Thursday 12th May at 4:30pm.
