Coming up this week

Our first team and Reserves sides are in action this week whilst the Women compete in the all new Women’s Nines competition on Sunday.

First team

This week the first team kick off the action as we head to the Halliwell Jones Stadium on Friday to face Warrington Wolves 8pm K.O.

Though the first time up against each other in competition this year, the two sides did meet in pre-season where Wigan took a convincing win. Warrington currently sit eight in the table with 5 wins and 5 losses whilst Wigan head into the tie in second place with 8 wins and 2 losses.

Reserves

On Saturday this week, our Reserves side return to the field as they travel to Huddersfield, 11:00am K.O.

The Reserves are currently four from four with wins over Hull FC, Newcastle, Leeds and Bradford so far this season. Half time and full time updates will be available on our social media pages.

Women

Finally, our Women return to action this week – but in a new format Women’s Nines competition. The ‘group stage’ of the competition takes place on Sunday 1st May at Victoria Park, Warrington with the Warriors set to play three matches.

The Warriors are placed in a group with Wakefield Trinity, Hull FC and Catalans Dragons, with fixtures as below:

Game 1 – Wakefield Trinity v Wigan Warriors, 10:55am K.O.

Game 2 – Wigan Warriors v Catalans Dragons, 11:45am K.O.

Game 3 – Hull FC v Wigan Warriors, 12:10pm K.O.
