Preston Rugby League Days

Wigan Warriors Community Foundation and Preston North End Community and Education Trust have teamed up to offer primary camps and secondary development days in Preston.

Primary Camps

Our primary camps offer young children the opportunity to express themselves through fun rugby activities and to develop personal, mental and physical skills.

Coaches from both Wigan Warriors Community Foundation and Preston North End Community and Education Trust provide delivery for children aged between 6-12 years old.

Venue: UCLan Sports Arena, Preston PR2 1SG
Date: 11th & 12th April
Time: 10am – 2pm
Cost: £20

Secondary Development Days (Boys only)

Our Secondary Development Days offer boys in school years 7 & 8 the opportunity to enhance their Rugby League skills on our in-depth development days. These days are split into two sections, the first being a morning of match preparation, leading into small-sided games in the afternoon.

Coaches from both Wigan Warriors Community Foundation and Preston North End Community and Education Trust provide delivery.

Venue: UCLan Sports Arena, Preston PR2 1SG
Date: 14th April
Time: 9:30am – 12:30pm
Cost: FREE to attend

Bradley Kelk, Lancashire Development Officer, said: “It’s been great to see the participation numbers in Preston increase on each occasion we have run events in the City. We hope to build on these further by reaching more children throughout the area with our latest opportunities.”

Ryan Allen, Preston North End Community and Education Trust Rugby League Development Officer added: “Using the power of Preston North End and Wigan Warriors, we hope to work together to inspire children and leave a lasting legacy in Rugby League ahead of the Rugby League World Cup 2022.”
