Mini warriors session success

Almost 250 Mini Warriors took advantage of the free action-packed skill development taster session last week

The session was an offer to all children aged from 5-7 years old and was designed to introduce all juniors to rugby league, helping them develop physical skills, exercise, make new friends, have fun and learn to be a team member.

Warriors mascot Mighty Max was on hand to meet and greet all mini warriors and each mini-Warrior received a free 2022 junior season ticket to watch Wigan Warriors in action at the DW stadium.

Martin Mcloughlin, Head of Community said “Mini Warriors is one of a number of projects we have planned for young people in the local area. Rugby League can contribute so much to a young person’s life. It teaches resilience, collaboration, leadership and independence plus builds confidence and competence in physical movement. We also understand that these young people could be the next generation of Warriors supporters. I hope all families enjoyed the session and would advise to keep a look out across our channels for upcoming events. ”
