Wigan announce new Principal Partner

Wigan Warriors are delighted to announce a new major partnership with OpenExchange who are now the Club’s Official Principal Partner and will feature on the front of the 2022 playing shirts.

OpenExchange is a global provider of corporate video solutions. They enable vital daily communications for the financial services and professional investment industries, for public and private companies, through advanced video technologies, tools, and managed services. With offices in London, New York, Boston and Hong Kong, OpenExchange provides the most advanced video and virtual-meeting technologies for clients all around the world to help to solve their mission-critical communications challenges. Founded in 2011, the company has grown steadily as businesses across the globe have adopted virtual communications and have put their trust in OpenExchange.

Warriors Executive Director, Kris Radlinski, said: “We are thrilled to be partnering with OpenExchange. Shaun Wane and I met CEO Mark Loehr for lunch in London and it was an inspiring meeting. For an American Executive to show such faith and promise in Wigan Warriors and in Rugby League should give the whole sport a boost.

“Mark has a vision of how he wants to grow Rugby League through OpenExchange.TV where we will create weekly content to be shown around the world.

“For many years, we have wanted a major presence in our capital city for Wigan Warriors and we hope this partnership will be the catalyst for many more opportunities.”

OpenExchange CEO, Mark Loehr, said: “OpenExchange is a global company deeply rooted in the UK, built on creating future leaders who are empowered to build innovative global solutions for our clients. Rugby League and specifically Wigan Warriors fans have an incomparable, unwavering loyalty and OpenExchange is excited to sponsor this adored club to highlight and connect the life lessons and community building happening on and off the pitch.”

The new partnership with OpenExchange follows on from the disappointing news that the previous Wigan main sponsor continued to face challenges from the impacts of the pandemic. The Club was able to act quickly and decisively to seal an excellent two-year partnership with OpenExchange of significant benefit to both parties.

Ian Lenagan, Wigan Warriors Chairman, said: “We are delighted to welcome OpenExchange to our commercial partnership family and look forward to building a long-lasting relationship together.”

NOTE: With the announcement of the new Principal Partner, fans are welcome to visit the Wigan Warriors Store at Robin Park Arena from Tuesday 8th February during store hours (10am-4pm Monday-Saturday) to have the OpenExchange logo printed on their shirts, free of charge. All replica shirts in store will now contain the OpenExchange logo.
