Bevan French has sent a video message to the Club and fans to provide an update as he prepares for 2022 at home in Australia.
French said: “I just wanted to send a quick video message to all the supporters and everyone involved within the Club just to say thank you for your understanding, your patience and support during this time.”
He added: “It’s definitely not the ideal circumstances that I’m in at the moment but from the get-go you guys have been very supportive, I can’t thank you guys enough for that.
“It feels like an eternity since I played a game of Rugby League so I really can’t wait to get back out there and do that and wear jersey with pride and do it in front of a home crowd.”
An injury sustained in Round 9 of the 2021 Betfred Super League saw French miss the remainder of the season, however the full back is still striving for silverware upon his return: “I want to hopefully bring more success to such a rich Club and I’m really looking forward to making memories in the near future with everyone that’s involved within the Club, all my teammates, all the new guys that I haven’t met yet and hopefully bring more silverware to the Club.
“I really miss playing in front of a home crowd over there, it’s something I really miss and I can’t wait to get back over there and I look forward to that in the near future. Hopefully, that isn’t too long, see you guys soon.”
