Willie Isa is confident Wigan will come good soon enough following Wednesday’s defeat to Warrington Wolves.

Despite Wigan’s great start to the season, winning eight in a row in all competitions, their Round 12 defeat marked their fourth loss on the spin.

Speaking to Wigan TV shortly after the final whistle, Isa gave his immediate reaction to the performance.

“I felt like the harder we tried the harder it got. But the positive is that the lads were working really hard out there, the effort was there.

“We are working hard but the luck just isn’t coming our way at the minute. We will keep pushing. We have to work on the execution of our whole game really; individually and as a team.”

Isa scored Wigan’s second try of the night against Warrington.

Having played over 150 games for the Warriors, Isa is certainly one of the more experienced members of the squad.

As one of the senior players, the second row explained his confidence in what the side can do going forward.

“I believe we, as a squad, can turn this around. I have too much belief in the boys and the coaching staff. I’m not worried because we know we need to keep moving. You have to move your focus onto the next one.

“I’m a believer, I just want everyone to get on board with the team and support us. These are the times when you want people to stand up for the club, and I know they will. I believe in the people of Wigan and them trusting us and our process.”
