Match preview: Warrington

Here’s everything you need to know ahead of Wigan’s Betfred Super League Round 12 clash with Warrington Wolves.
The Warriors will face off against Steve Price’s men for the first time in 2021 when The Wire visit the DW Stadium on Wednesday evening.

Campaign so far
After a strong start of seven straight wins, the Warriors will be looking to rediscover some of that form after losing their last three.
Warrington on the other hand began the season uneasily, with just one win from their first three. However, they have since hit a good run of form and head into the game off the back of wins over St Helens and Leigh.
Team news
The Warriors are boosted by the inclusion of Jackson Hastings and Liam Farrell, who return after missing last week due to international involvement.
Forward Brad Singleton received a two-match ban from Round 10 for a Grade C charge (head butting) committed against Hull KR. He will serve the second this week.
Tony Clubb will serve the seventh of an eight-match ban for a Grade F charge (Unacceptable language based on national or ethnic origin).

Injury news
Bevan French will be unavailable for the rest of the 2021 season following surgery to repair a hamstring injury sustained against Salford last month. Learn more HERE.
Zak Hardaker misses out this week with a neck injury.
Second row John Bateman is an absentee this week after suffering an ankle injury last week when on international duty with England.
Dom Manfredi remains sidelined with a knee injury. The winger announced on Sunday that he’d be retiring at the end of the season after being advised on medical grounds. Learn more HERE.
Jai Field continues his recovery from a torn hamstring he suffered in Round 1 against Leigh Centurions in March.
