And it was the visitors Huddersfield who got off to the perfect start with two tries inside the opening 15 minutes at Robin Park Arena.

The Warriors responded through Josh Clarke on the left edge thanks to a slick assist from centre George Hough.

Maddox Jeffrey then levelled the scores with a strong touchdown on the left side for Wigan.

Winger Clarke then turned provider for Hough who went over for Wigan’s third and put the home side in front for the first time.

Into the second half and Sam Murtagh scored in the 50th minute to put Wigan further ahead, but the Giants fought back and scored two tries through Brook Stanley and Cameron Siddique to make it 20-20

Matthew Hanley converted the kick after Siddique and those two points were decisive for the end result as Huddersfield won 20-22.
