Injury update

Get the latest on the Wigan Warriors squad before Monday’s Betfred Super League clash with Leigh Centurions – Brought to you by Assured Screening.

Adrian Lam’s men make the short journey to Leigh Sports Village on Monday night to take on local rivals Leigh for the second time in 2021, having beaten John Duffy’s side on the opening day in March.

The game holds an extra sprinkling of flavour, being the first Wigan game in over 12 months to see a limited number of spectators granted entry.

Injury news

Liam Marshall continues his recovery from a knee injury (ACL) sustained last September against Castleford Tigers.

Providing an update on the winger earlier this week, Lam said: “He’s trained with the full squad for the first time today (Thursday), they gave him a round of applause for getting back out there with them. He’s probably two weeks away.”

Captain Tommy Leuluai remains sidelined with a sternum injury.

Oliver Gildart misses out as he gets closer to recovering from a groin injury which has kept the centre out of action so far this season.

Half back Jai Field remains out of action a he recovers from a hamstring tear picked up against Leigh in Round 1.
