Wigan Warriors are delighted to confirm that season tickets for the 2021 Betfred Super League season will go on sale from next Monday (1st March).
The long-awaited launch has been held back following earlier complications relating to the ongoing Covid-19 situation, but the planned unveiling has been given an additional boost this week, following the Government’s announcement that we can realistically expect a return to spectators within stadia from the early months of the new season.
Key details of the new lower-priced offer for 2021 are being sent by post this week to all 2020 season ticket holders, with those on the Auto Renewal Scheme set to receive the first wave of letters in order to provide the best possible notice ahead of their payments being taken on Wednesday 17th March. Full details of all available ticketing options will also go live on the Club’s website from Friday evening.
In another highly unusual year, supporters will notice a number of necessary tweaks to the regular season ticket package, reflecting the current climate of social distancing and likely guidelines that spectators will need to follow when we initially return to the DW Stadium, but will also find welcome bonuses within the deal, including a free stream of every Super League fixture – home or away – that needs to be played behind closed doors over the course of the season.
One key change that we urge all fans to pay close attention to is the all-new set of contact points for ticket sales – a necessary switch due to the continued closure of the DW Stadium Ticket Office. As such, online sales will be conducted via our retail store and phone contact will be via a new number that is confirmed within all the season ticket marketing materials.
As this is very much a temporary system, we politely request fans to be patient as we process a large number of expected queries and sales, and where possible, we urge supporters to purchase their tickets online to ease the burden on our phone system, which we ideally need to keep reserved for 2020 season ticket holders wishing to claim their credit discount, supporters with a disability and their helpers, or those without internet access. Due to current lockdown rules, we are unable to offer any ticket sales in person over a counter.
With flexibility in the package we’re offering this year to reflect the ever-changing face of life during the pandemic – as well as a system that intends to balance a fair distribution of tickets if capacities are capped, whilst still offering an increased level of reward for those who kindly donated their 2020 credit back to the Club – we hope that this year’s season ticket package will offer a fair deal for everyone and will be well supported as we seek to give our team the best possible backing as soon as fans are able to make their long-awaited return.
We’ve got a team worth waiting for in 2021 and we’re sure you can’t wait to see it!
