Wollongong Wednesday

Celebrate the third anniversary of Wigan’s historic victory in the first Super League game to be played outside of Europe.

On 10th February 2018, Wigan faced Hull FC in Round 2 of the Betfred Super League.

The game in question, which was intended as a Warriors home fixture, was instead taken on the road by the Cherry and Whites to the other side of the world.

Rather than the DW Stadium, the WIN Stadium in Wollongong held host to a memorable encounter.

Facing off against Lee Radford’s Black and Whites, who had beaten Shaun Wane’s Wigan the previous season in the Challenge Cup Final, the Warriors came away 24-10 victors.

In celebration of this historical victory, we’re looking for fans to get in touch with their memories of the occasion. Did you travel Down Under? Did you watch from home? Did you go crazy when Liam Marshall bagged his brace?
