Dom Manfredi believes the upcoming season is crucial for his career as he aims to be in ‘the best possible condition’ to give his all for Wigan Warriors.
Speaking to Wigan TV during his first week back in pre-season training, the explosive winger discussed why a knee injury brought the curtain down early on his 2020 campaign.
“I’ve had a few injuries in my time, which means a few bits and pieces can come away from your knee and on the surface of the joint. Unfortunately it happened at the wrong time.
“It was a quick fix but it meant it all happened running into the Grand Final which I’m gutted I missed.”
Now more determined than ever to return with a bang, Manfredi is hoping to make the most of pre-season.
“I just want a good pre-season now, get as much into me as I can and head into the season hoping to get out and play as often as possible.
“There’s a lot riding on it and I want to be in the best possible condition I can be for it.
“It’s a massive year for me, I’m going to throw everything at it and go harder than I’ve ever gone before.”
