Wigan forward Brad Singleton hopes he has brought a renewed positivity into the Warriors camp since making his debut two weeks ago.

The 27-year-old appeared in the Cherry and White for the first time in Round 15 against Warrington, coming off the bench to help steer the side to a late victory.

Speaking to Wigan TV ahead of this weekend’s Betfred Super League clash with Salford Red Devils, the Irish international explained how he felt his presence in the squad since signing in September may have had brought some renewed energy.

Singleton made his debut off the bench vs Warrington in Round 15.

“Because of the lockdown, I’ve been away for seven months, but these boys have being going in tough throughout.

“I’ve been a case of bringing some positive energy to the squad and Lam got that from me (in the Warrington game).”

This week’s opposition come fresh off a Coral Challenge Cup Final defeat, something which Singleton believes could impact the Red Devils one of two ways.

“I’ve been in sides who have lost at Wembley and it’s a really draining atmosphere.

“There’s a case for them to be a deflated side, or they will come out with avengeance, looking to correct their wrongs, and come out swinging.

“I think they see this as a bit of a derby, especially with a few old Wigan lads over there now. It can certainly get tasty.”
